Whale watching season on the Sunshine Coast starts from mid-June to early November where the coastline becomes a playground for the whales migrating from the Antarctic waters.
The Humpbacks head north in June, July & August to mate and give birth. In September and October they migrate south and the juveniles have been known to be quite playful on this journey back.
There is a Where’s Whaley Facebook Page where the local community document their whale sightings.
